Students will learn the basic concepts of drawing, design and composition, tone variation using graphite and tempera pigments, to produce two pieces of artwork which will then be matted to form one larger piece that may be framed if he/she chooses. *No class 7/4/12* Itinerary: students will create two 8-1/2x11 drawings with shading depicting a visual representation of a still life and two 8-1/2x11 paintings using tone variations depicting a visual representation of any landscape chosen as a class, including but not limited to coastlines, dunes, rivers, mountains, glaciers, deltas and lakes. Additional Materials: $10 Activity Card required each school year.
