Broward Community Schools

Adult students, in their regular adult education classes, will take part in a variety of literacy activities throughout 2009-2010. Starting with the first week of November, students will participate in the Broward County Library and the Florida Center for the Book’s The Big Read project. The featured novel for The Big Read is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain. Students will read excerpts from the novel, have group discussions, and write journal entries on their thoughts about the book.
