Family Literacy and Adult Reading

Broward Community Schools Family Literacy Programs

In a Broward Community Schools Family Literacy Program, we provide opportunities for parents and children to learn together.  Parents study for their GED or learn English, and improve employability skills.  While improving their skills, parents actively participate in supporting their children's learning and success in school.

Please share with friends and family members who want to learn to read, improve their basic skills or earn their high school diploma.

To qualify for the Family Literacy Program, parents and guardians must...
- Be 16 years old or older
- Be enrolled in English or GED classes
- Participate in parenting skills training
- Participate in activities to help their children learn
