2018 Summer Co-Enrolled Classes

Worried about not graduating on time with your class? Need to raise your GPA or make up a credit so you can receive your high school diploma with your classmates? There’s help for any high school student who is determined to graduate on time!

Benefits:

• Progress at your own pace • Combine in-class sessions with 24/7 e-learning access • Improve your GPA • Ability to graduate with your cohort Co-enrolled classes are available to any high school student currently attending a public or private school in Broward County. Classes are offered in the core academic areas: English, Math, Science and Social Studies.

Session #1 (Open to all students)

Session Date:

• Monday, April 23rd – Tuesday, August 7th (Open Enrollment) • Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday (two(2) days per week)– 4.0 hours per day – EVENINGS ONLY

Registration Dates:

• Seniors (12th Grade) Registration Schedule:

  • Dates: Monday, April 23rd – Thursday, July 5th
  • Time: 4:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Last Date to Enroll – All students must have registered and entered class by Thursday, July 5th.
  • Priority is given to seniors planning on graduating by Thursday, August 2, 2018.
  • Underclassmen who do not complete their course by August 7, 2018 may continue the course in the next Term (September 2018) by contacting their guidance counselor to secure and complete the 2018-2019 Co-Enrolled Admission Form.

Attendance/Withdrawal Policy:

  • Student must remain in class for 4 hours per night. Failure to remain in class for the 4 hours will result in an absence.
  • The total maximum allowable absence are five (5) days per 18 week term.
  • Withdrawal: On the 6th absence the student will be withdrawn from the course.
  • No excused absences.

How To Enroll:

Student must be referred by their school’s guidance counselor or designee.  The counselor or designee must select the appropriate location to enroll for class(es), verify appropriate course placement and sign the Summer 2017-Co-Enrolled Admission form. The student will present the admission form to the enrolling school at the time of registration and complete the application package. Upon completing the application package and depending on course availability, the student will receive a schedule to enter the class. Session #2 – (Open to all students)

FREE breakfast and lunch is provided for students attending Dave Thomas Education Center-West Campus and Whiddon Rogers Education Center.

Session Date:

Monday, June 18th – Tuesday, August 7th – (Monday – Thursday 4(four) days per week) – 4 hours per day – MORNING CLASSES ONLY

Registration Dates:

Monday, May 14th – Thursday, June 28th

Summer Graduation Date:

Thursday, August 2, 2018
