English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

Our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes prepare you to communicate competently in English. Classes are offered from beginning through advanced levels, and are designed for the adult student. As part of a language arts program, our English classes are designed to develop all areas of language – speaking, listening comprehension, reading, writing, grammar, and pronunciation.
Adult Basic Education (ABE)

Our classes are conveniently located throughout Broward County with day, afternoon and evening hours. You progress at your own speed and have access to web-based software 24/7. Classes are taught by certified teachers who specialize in working with adult learners.
Family Literacy Classes

A family that studies together stays together. At Broward Community Schools, we provide opportunities for parents and their children to learn together with the Family Literacy Program. The Family Literacy Programallows parents who are enrolled in English or GED® classes, and 16 years of age or older, the ability to study with their kids and help everyone improve.
General Educational Development (GED®)

Our General Educational Development/High School Equivalency, GED® Prep program at Broward Community Schools prepares you for academic and personal success. You’ll obtain the necessary skills required to pass the GED® exam and earn a State of Florida High School Diploma. Our GED® Prep program strives to motivate you, not only to earn a high school diploma but also to utilize those skills in the workforce or in continuing your education in Florida.

Registration for BCSOnline Instruction Center http://www.ed2go.com/bcsonline, our 24/7 internet based learning center, is ALWAYS OPEN for REGISTRATION. In-person registration is continuously available for GED and Adult General Education classes.
