In this hands-on studio course, students will explore the rich world of textile and fiber arts, learning traditional and contemporary techniques to create expressive works of art. Participants should bring: A pair of fabric scissors, a small selection of hand-sewing needles, a variety of fabric new or reused (such upholstery remnants, old linens, denim, or heavy cottons. Students will maintain a sketchbook for idea development, pattern making, and reflection, and will complete several finished pieces for display or exhibition.
